Acrylic Paint Pouring

Create two unique and colorful 8x10 poured paintings, using acrylic paints thinned with a pouring medium. Various techniques will be explained.

No previous experience is needed! Students will learn about mixing the paint, preparing it to pour and how to apply it to a stretched canvas. Techniques explained/demonstrated will include flip cup, ring pour, traveling ring, string pull, swiping, sink strainer pours, split cups, bottle bottom pours, balloon kisses and more. Paintings will need to be left to dry and picked up a few days later. As a special Valentine's bonus, you will also be able to create a jewelry piece using the dried paint “skin”!
