About the event
Attendees/students must have attended a beginner or intro class in wheel throwing or hand-building, or be an experienced potter.
In this week's class we will add decorative elements, and finish the woven basket and luminaries from the previous weeks to prepare them for bisque firing.
Supplies needed: bring your ideas for finishing your pieces. If you wish to do any carving,
sgraffito or underglaze techniques, bring your carving tools, and any underglazes, washes,
glazes, etc that you prefer.
(If you need clay, contact instructor in advance)
Instructors will have texture tools available for use and clay available for purchase if needed.
Studio glazes will be available during glaze sessions but you may bring your own if desired.
This class offering is a hand building class for experienced potters, focused on creating a
specific piece or technique each week. Each class will be a stand alone class in which the
student will create a specific item or apply a decorative technique to a piece created in a
previous week. The class objective will be published in advance. Glaze classes will be
scheduled intermittently to glaze bisque ware.
